*On Sat. 23 February at 18.00 hrs., Inauguration of Solo art show 
"Sfaccettature" (Many facets) by Lucia Ghirardi *at Galleria Rettori 
Tribbio (downtown, in the old city). The show is open until 8 March 
2012, weekdays 10-12:30/17-19:30, Sunday 10 - 12/ Closed on Monday and 
Friday afternoon).

*At the Sartorio Museum*(Largo Papa Giovanni XXIII, n.1): "*Il tiepolo a 
Trieste - The drawings of G.B.Tiepolo", *ongoing*until Sunday

At the *Municipal Art Gallery* (Piazza Unita' 4), solo exhibition by

*MUSEUM*

*Visit the Sartorio Museum*, an ancient 18th century Villa that belonged 
to a rich merchant family. There are beautiful rooms with antique 
furniture and important art collections, paintings, jewellery, 
furnitures, silverware as well as 254 drawings by Tiepolo (1696-1770, a 
famous Venetian artist), Santa Chiara's triptic and more recently, 
Fittcke's paintings. Ticket euro 5,50.The Sartorio is situated in Largo 
Papa Giovanni XXIII, n.1, open Tuesday - Sunday 9:00 - 13:00. Take bus 30.

*- Assicurazioni Generali Hall *(Viale XX Settembre 45):*"Rain Man"**on 
21/02 *at*20.30. *Based on the renowned film directed by Barry 
Levinsonand interpreted in a masterly manner by Tom Cruise & Dustin 
Hoffman. The drama would like to be an invitation to recognize and 
respect differences in the others, by treating them the way we would 
like to be treated. Under the direction of Saverio Marconi, performed by 
Luca Lazzareschi and Luca Bastianello.

Steve Jobs"* *on 21/02* at *20.30*. Based on "The Agony and Ecstasy of 
Steve Jobs" by Mike Daiseyand performed by Fulvio Falzarano under the 
direction of Enrico Luttmann. Jobs's wit has changed the world and his 
utopia has been crucial in the collective imagination. "Stay Hungry. 
Stay Foolish" He also had dark sides, pointed out in the play.Tickets

*The Duino Castle*is one of the most attractive castles in Europe and is 
still the official residence of the Torre e Tasso royal family. From its

*The Giant Cave - Grotta Gigante*
The cave is considered the largest tourist cave in the world, situated 
on the Triestine Karst and an exclusive feature of the cave is the 
horizontal pendulum, constructed by university researchers in order to 
calculate the slightest movements of the earth's crust.The temperature 
is constantly around 11º and the tour lasts around one hour. Open from

*The SLIVIA TOWERS CAVE*at*Aurisina Cave *(Bus nr.44 from Piazza 
Oberdan) is 60 mt. deep and 600 mt. long and is adorned with spectacular 
stalactites and stalagmites, like towers! (The most famous are a group 
of 8 stalagmites, after which the cave is named). The cave can be 
visited by anyone, without particular tools, however sturdy shoes are 
recommended.  Admission: 8,00 euro for adults and 6 euro for 6-12 years.

exhibits and musical evenings are held there.

3: a typical Triestine old-fashioned food place where one can have 
excellent ham sandwiches at the bar or enjoy the special house dish, a 
variety of meats served with sauerkraut and freshly grated horseradish. 
Good selection of wines and beers. Reviewed by the New York Times as the 
best in the Region.
