A R T  &  E X H I B I T I O N S
Exhibition in the ballroom of the Revoltella Museum (via Diaz, 27) 
entitled "Preview - Andy Warhol's Timeboxes".  Open until 18 July 2006 
as an introduction to the main exhibition which will open on 21 July in 
the renovated fish market (ex-pescheria) in Trieste.  E-mail

display here are part of the "Campbell's soup" group, dedicated to 
industry in Pittsburgh, Warhol's home town, which was a recurring 
source of inspiration in his work.
Inauguration on Saturday 11 March at 19:00 at the Teatro Miela of the 
photographic exhibition "Eredi del silenzio" which consists of over 50 
photographs of scenes from Cambodia illustrating the lasting effects of 
war on everyday life.  Open until 24 March 2006.  More information

Exhibition in Galleria Lipanjepuntin Arte Contemporanea, via Diaz 4 
entitled U2 & i by the photographer Anton Corbijn.  A series of shots 
of the rock band taken over the years.  Open until 11 April 2006

Ongoing until 17 March in the Galleria Poliedro in via del Bosco 30/A 
of an exhibition of paintings by six triestine artists entitled "Fiori 
e Paesaggio" (Flowers and Landscapes).  Open 10:30-12:30 and 
17:30-19:30.

C H I L D R E N's  A C T I V I T I E S
L'Immaginario Scientifico
This science museum (located on the ground floor level of the Adriatico 
Hotel, entrance at the rear of the hotel, opposite the 36 bus stop) has 
exhibits which are particularly suitable for children.
A children's laboratory will be held on Sunday from 15.45-16.45 for 
those aged 4-7 and from 15:30-17:00 for 8-11 year olds.  This week, 
both groups will be making soap.  You can book by e-mail at

This is also the last weekend to see the Cosmica exhibition.  Open on 
Sunday only from 10-20.

C U L T U R E
Capoeira Demonstration
On 13, 14, and 15 March 2006, the Trieste Associazione Capoeira Angola 
Palmares is offering the chance to have 3 free demonstration lessons of 
the Brazilian combat-dance la capoeira.  The lessons are open to 
everyone, from age 6 upwards.  More information from 349-2119485 or by

Greek music and dancing
On Sunday 12 March 2006, at the Arianna dancing school in via de 
Franceschi, 3 in Trieste, there will be a day dedicated to Greek

Concerto di Primavera - Spring Concert
On Sunday 12 March at 11:00 in the Sala del Ridotto of the Teatro Verdi 
there will be the Concerto di Primavera.  The female section of the 
Giuseppe Verdi choir will perform music by Schubert, Schumann, Brahms 
and Rossini.

S P O R T
Ice-Skating
An ice-skating rink is open at the Fiera buildings until the end of 
March in piazzale de Gasperi (bus 18 from piazza della Borsa).  Opening 
hours will be Monday-Friday 14-22 and Saturday and Sunday 10-22.  The 
cost is 6 euro (including hire of skates) or 3 euro if you take your 
own skates.

T O U R S
Trieste by Bus
Every Saturday a bus leaves for a tour of Trieste from in front of the 
train station at 14.00.  It takes in all of the main sights to see 
downtown, and there is also a 30-minute stop at St. Giusto Castle, 
where you can walk along the Castle walls or visit the Cathedral or 
simply enjoy the spectacular views.  Tickets may be bought in the Sala 
Eurostar in the main railway station and cost 5.20 Euro, with children 
under 10 travelling free.
