The deepfake dilemma: can synthetic media be used for good?
From fake political speeches, manipulated videos and content designed
to mislead and harm, it’s easy to see why deepfake technology has a
reputation for ill. The EU-funded SOLARIS project explored whether the
same technology can also be used to engage citizens more constructively.
The results could help strengthen Europe’s democratic fabric.
