Dear All,
This is to announce a special mini-course of three lectures in the
series “Geometric Structures”.
The lectures will be held by *Prof. Shouhei Honda* (Graduate School of
Mathematical Sciences, The University of Tokyo) and will take place as
follows:
*First lecture*: Mon 05/10, 14-16, Room 004
*Second lecture*: Wed 07/10, 14-16, Room 132
*Third lecture*: Fri 09/10, 14-16, Room 004
*Title*: RCD geometry; recent developments, applications and open problems
*Abstract*: I would like to present recent developments in the theory of
RCD spaces, which are singular spaces with Ricci curvature bounded from
below, together with their applications to other areas of geometry. I
also hope to discuss as many promising open problems as possible. In
particular, I will present several open questions arising from my very
recent joint work with Ruobing Zhang (US San Diego).
