Commission presents proposal for EU Inc. - unlocking the full
potential of the Single Market for Europe's entrepreneurs
Today, the European Commission presented its proposal for EU Inc., a new
single set of corporate rules, building the cornerstone and starting
point for the EU's 28th regime. EU Inc. is an optional,
digital-by-default European corporate framework. It will make it easier
for businesses to start, operate and grow across the EU – incentivising
them to stay in Europe, and encourage those who once looked elsewhere to
return.
*Ursula von der Leyen*, President of the European Commission, said:
“Europe has the talent, the ideas and the ambition to become the
best place for innovators. Yet today, European entrepreneurs who
want to scale up face 27 legal systems and more than 60 national
company forms. With EU Inc., we are making it drastically easier to
start and grow a business all across Europe. Any entrepreneur will
be able to create a company within 48 hours, from anywhere in the
European Union, and fully online. This crucial step is just the
beginning. Our goal is clear: one Europe – one market – by 2028.”

The hidden patterns that shape children’s social understanding
Even very young infants pay close attention to social interactions
around them – who gives, who shares and how these interactions play out.
Experimental research by the EU-funded PARTNERS project has revealed
that children build their understanding of social relationships in a
very different way to adults, prompting a major rethink of social cognition.
