Gravitational Wave Open Data Workshop 2026 - Trieste Study Hub

Dear colleagues,

The LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA Collaboration, the international network of scientists and gravitational-wave interferometers dedicated to detecting and studying gravitational waves, is organizing the Gravitational Wave Open Data Workshop: a crash course in gravitational-wave data analysis featuring lectures, software tutorials, and a data challenge.

The workshop is organized in a hybrid format, combining online seminars (in English) and in-person practical sessions ("Study Hubs").

This year, the lectures can be attended online from April 20th to 23rd (register at: https://gw-odw.thinkific.com/courses/odw2026).

For the hands-on sessions, Trieste will host one of the Study Hubs at the Department of Physics: an opportunity to work directly with gravitational-wave data.

Note: Registration for the main event and the local Study Hub are two separate steps.
