*Title*: Branching of normal curves in sub-Finsler Lie groups

*Abstract*: We begin by introducing sub-Finsler Lie groups. We then 
present a version of the Pontryagin Maximum Principle adapted to this 
setting and use it to deduce several properties of normal curves in 
sub-Finsler Lie groups. Finally, we provide sufficient conditions for 
the existence of branching of normal curves in sub-Finsler Lie groups 
endowed with strongly convex norms.
