The Manifesto for EU Covid-19 Research celebrates its first 2000
signatories
The Commission launched the Manifesto for EU Covid-19 Research in July,
as part of the common European response to the coronavirus outbreak, to
maximise the accessibility of research results in the fight against
Covid-19. So far, more than 500 organisations (including universities,
research institutes and private companies) endorsed the Manifesto, and
1500 individuals from all over Europe expressed their support.

Mariya Gabriel, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture,
Education and Youth said:
Quote

/The Manifesto for EU Covid-19 Research seeks the voluntary support and
endorsement from public and private stakeholders benefiting from EU
funding, other research funders and prominent individuals and
institutions. After less than three months since its launch, I am
delighted to see such a strong commitment from leading researchers,
innovators and organisations. With their support, we can maximise the
accessibility of research results in the fight against Covid-19.
Together we are stronger and united against Coronavirus./

How COMPROP lifted the veil on political propaganda

An EU-funded project has been making a name for itself with its unique
insights into political propaganda and misinformation on social media.
The work of this project proves helpful at a time when our societies
truly need it most. This is because disinformation keeps spreading
online and is threatening the very foundations of our democracies.

We are starting to crack the mystery of how lightning and thunderstorms
work

Imagine lying on a green hill watching the clouds go by on a beautiful
day. The clouds you’re probably thinking of are cumulous clouds, the
ones that resemble fluffy balls of cotton wool. They seem innocent
enough. But they can grow into the more formidable cumulonimbus, the
storm cloud. These are the monsters that produce thunder and lightning.
