Title: Algebraic cycles


Abstract:
Much of the theory of algebraic cycles is an attempt to see algebraic 
geometry using basic intuition that comes from algebraic topology. It 
brought an array of general conjectures and concrete predictions that 
are as yet unproved; some of them will be discussed in the talk.
