*The American University of Paris*invites applications for a full-time 
position in the *Department of Computer Science Math and Science *at the 
rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Candidates should have 
expertise in one or more of the following areas: Environmental Sciences, 
Biology, Earth System, Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development. We 
seek engaged scholars and have high expectations of teaching and 
scholarly research for promotion. The American university of Paris 
follows an American model of academic promotion (Assistant, Associate, 
Professor).

**

*The Department:*  The Department of Computer Science, Mathematics and 
Science emphasizes interdisciplinary education and research, and 
maintains close ties with other departments within the University as 
well as with research centers, universities, and industry in Europe and 
all over the world. The Department of Computer Science, Mathematics and 
Science enhances the general education of students by providing them 
with skills for quantitative and abstract reasoning, comprehension, 
analysis, and integration of knowledge, and to formulate and efficiently 
solve problem.

*Responsibilities:*

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach courses 
within the undergraduate science program and to actively contribute to 
the development of the new interdisciplinary Master Program in Climate 
Policy at the American University in Paris. The teaching load is six 
courses per year. The new faculty member will also be expected to 
maintain a competitive research program producing peer reviewed 
publications in international journals. Student advising and university 
service will be required as well.

**

*Qualifications*: Candidates should have a Ph.D. in a relevant field, or 
equivalent research experience, along with a distinguished record of 
peer reviewed publications in international journals. Candidates should 
also be fluent in both spoken and written English and be committed to 
the highest standards of teaching in an interactive learning environment.
