Senior Postdoctoral Fellowship

in

Quantitative Biology

 

 

In order to promote research in Quantitative Systems Biology ICTP, has opened a new Senior Postdoctoral Fellowship.

 

Candidates should have a background in physics, systems or computational biology, bioinformatics or related disciplines, and be able to carry out active and independent research program.  Areas of interest include:

 

- Statistical Mechanics of Biological Systems;

- Biological Networks;

- Genomics, Transcriptomics and Proteomics;

- Machine Learning, Statistical Inference and Information Theory of Biological Systems;

- Population and Evolution Biology;

- Systems Neuroscience.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to participate actively in the initiatives related to the ICTP Programme in Quantitative Systems Biology.

 

The appointment will be for an initial period of three years extendable for an extra two years upon mutual agreement and availability of funds. The take-home monthly salary will be in the range of  2,500 - 3,000 Euros. The precise amount will depend on the seniority of the applicants.

 

Candidates should have at least one previous postdoctoral experience, carrying out very active and independent research in the area.
