LECTURES BY P. NEWSTEAD

Professor Peter Newstead (Liverpool) will give four lectures at SISSA
in September-October. The lecture course is entitled

FOUR CONJECTURES

and will be about Green's conjecture, the slope conjecture,
and the conjectures of Butler and Mercat, in the framework
of Brill-Noether theory for moduli of vector bundles on curves.

The schedule is the following:

Tuesday 27 September, 4:30 pm
Tuesday 4 October, 4:30 pm
Friday 7 October, 2:30 pm
Tuesday 18 October, 4:30 pm

All lectures will take place in Room 136, First floor,
SISSA Building A, Via Bonomea 236.
