ENTANGLEMENT AND PROPERTIES OF COMPOSITE
QUANTUM SYSTEMS WITH IDENTICAL CONSTITUENTS
 
Abstract 
After a short discussion of the problem of entanglement and
of the possibility of attributing properties to the constituents
of a composite system of distinguishable particles, we tackle
the analogous problems for the case of identical particles.
The accent will be on the physical implications and meaning
of entanglement. Various subtle questions will be clarified and
some inappropriate assertions which characterize the scientific
literature on the subject will be considered. The relations
between the problem of the entanglement and the one of the
nonlocal nature of quantum mechanics will also be considered.
