The seminary aims at giving an overview on the possible applications  
of NMR in Biophysics (structure and dynamics of biomolecules),  
Biochemistry (equilibrium constants, interactions) and Medicinal  
Chemistry (drug design and metabolomics).

Some background on the presenter:

Nicola D'Amelio - postdoctoral research fellow at the University of  
Siena (Department of Chemistry) - at present is a researcher at  
Bracco Imaging, CRB-Trieste.

His research activity has mostly been directed towards the study of  
biological systems using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. He has had the  
opportunity to deal with many kinds of biological molecules such as  
proteins and peptides, nucleic acids and aminosugars involved in  
different biological and pathological  issue.
