Hello RegCM’ers, I’m trying to create a domain centered on the Gulf of Alaska using a Lambert Conformal Conic projection (LAMCON) and terrain is segmentation faulting. I’ve played with the domain extent and center and the crash seems to happen once you span the date line. I’m using RegCM-4.7.1. I’ve created the standard 50 km NARRCAP domain in the past that can cross the boundary a little, but I am having no luck with this model version and domain.
Does anyone have suggestions for an Alaska / Beringia domain?
Here is the failure output:
Doing Horizontal Grid with following parameters
iy = 40
jx = 81
ds = 60.0000000000000
clat = 55.0000000000000
clon = -160.000000000000
iproj = LAMCON
Grid setup done
Geo mapping done
Special case for timeline crossing
Calculated large extrema:
MINLAT = 40.0000000000000
MAXLAT = 66.0000000000000
MINLON = 155.000000000000
MAXLON = -114.000000000000
Determined Grid coordinate range
No resampling used.
forrtl: severe (174): SIGSEGV, segmentation fault occurred
