[RegCNET] Greetings from the ICTP

Dear RegCNETers

the time has come again to close another year. Time really goes much too
fast. A lot has happened during 2018 and I hope that it was a good one for
you.

As you know, ICTP will close from today until Jan 7, and I will be mostly
out of touch during this period. Next year will be an important one for
our community, since we hope to finish and analyze/publish a new set of
CORDEX-CORE and convection permitting simulations, hopefully producing a
good special issue and contributing to the upcoming IPCC report. But we
will talk about this after the festivity break. Please also remember the
EGU submission deadline of Jan 10, so we can make also this year the
regional modeling session one of the most populated and popular.

I wish all of you a very happy, peaceful and successful 2019, also on
behalf of the ICTP RegCM team
