Michael, the Himalaya is the problem here... The gradient is too strong,
and a small dt must be used in your case. I completed your test case
here with dt=60.
We know that for both Himalaya and Andes the dt must be decreased well
below the expected "safe" rule of dt ~= 3*dx.
