Hi Thanos
The cloud optical thickness is actually calculated in the model from LWP
and optical properties depending on radius. I thik Rita even put a
disgnostic to have it in the output ( it might be spectral and for each
vertical layer , so you need to sum up vertically and select spectral
interval 8 for visible for example .. for details on OT calculation
check out the variable tauxcl and tauxci in radccsw routine
mod_rad_radiation.F90 , which are the layer COT for liquid and ice
water and for every spectral interval ( visible is ns =8)
