Probably the Portland Compiler Version Number. We have tested the model working 
only with the 11.8 version of the compiler (the oldest version we have at hand 
today), and we have a report that the model works with 10.x (albeit from a 
skilled user who may have done some modifications to the code to make it compile).
I would anyway suggest using the Intel Compiler, which has a better standard 
compliance from version 11.X on, or the free gfortran (version > 4.6) which is 
free software.
