Dear All,

I am running RegCM 4.3.3 for the attached model domain with map projection
of Rotated Mercator . I read the follow statements in RegCM user guide:

• Middle latitudes (around 45 degrees) - Lambert Conformal

• Polar latitudes (more than 75 degrees) - Polar Stereographic

• Low latitudes (up to 30 degrees and crossing the equator) - Mercator

• Crossing more than 45 degrees extent in latitude - Rotated Mercator

My domain consist of both Low latitudes and Middle latitudes. Please help
me in the following two queries:

1) Which map projection is the best choice for the attached domain.
Lambert Conformal or Rotated Mercator?

2) Is there any comparative study or research paper on the effect of
map projections for a particular domain using RegCM?

With regards,

Ali
