Hello

Inhibition of dust emission by snow cover is not activated properly in
regcm4.1 . There is a commented line in the dust emission routine when
fluxes are aggregated form the texture to the gridscale level that
account for grid snow cover. The snow cover ( or snow mask ) variable
should be passed by argument from the emission driver routine : be
carefull we cannot use directly module variable because dust routine are
called on a 'reduced grid' containing only desert and semi desert point.
An other option is to wait for the next bugfix release , for which we
will activate this option . Sorry about that.

Fabien
