Call for applications: GRADUATE RESEARCH PROGRAMME on the WEST AFRICAN 
CLIMATE SYSTEM

The West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted 
Land Use (WASCAL) is a German Initiative and will be funded by the 
German Ministry of Science and Education (BMBF). For more information 
please refer to <http://www.wascal.org>.

The WASCAL Programme is novel in concept and international in scope. One 
of the major aims of WASCAL is the establishment of Graduate Research 
Programmes (GRPs) in six foremost universities across West Africa.

We would like to draw your attention to the Graduate Research Programme

"The West African Climate System"

in which up to 30 PhD studies will be performed and respective 
scholarships can be provided in the next three years.

This GRP will be hosted at the Federal University of Technology in 
Akure/Nigeria. For more information and application details please refer

Deadline for application is 31st July 2011.
