[RegCNET] Change elevation of pressure levels in RegCM?

Dear RegCM-ers,

Is there a way to alter the distribution of pressure levels within RegCM?  We are not very concerned with lower elevations and would like to have finer resolution at higher elevations, specifically near the tropopause.  If we can’t alter the distribution of pressure levels, could we increase the number of levels beyond 23 so that the resolution is finer?  

We are also trying to feed eta level input data into RegCM.  It seems complicated to convert the data from eta levels to pressure levels, feed it into the model, and have the model convert it to sigma levels.  Is there a simpler method?
