To use the MPI enabled version of the model with intel compiler You need an MPI
stack compiled with Intel compiler. We suggest either OpenMPI or MPICH2. The
default Ubuntu OpenMPI is compiled using GNU compiler, so UBUBTU mpif90 is a
wrapper around gfortran.
If You already have MPI compiled with Intel, set PATH environment variable to
look in the MPI/intel directory before looking in the MPI/GNU one.
Consider installing also subversion (apt-get install subversion).
Ciao!
Graziano.
