dear all,
myself suman maity.i have a question regarding "geopotential height".
the question is when we are plotting the geopotential height of a particular
level
(say 500hPa or 300 mb) then what meteorological information we can get from
that plot?
that means i want to know what is the reason for plotting geopotential
height?


please answer.it's urgent.
