I am working on running the RegCM over an East African Domain with
emphasis on the impact of Lake Victoria on the climate. I have been
using the 1D lake model, with the bats ocean flux scheme, as this is
required to run the lake model. Recent research by one of my colleagues
has shown that the Zheng ocean flux considerably improves the forecast
over the Indian Ocean and therefore the circulation over the African Domain.
I am wondering if it is possible to run the Zheng ocean flux over the
Indian Ocean, but still run bats over the lake so that I can have the
benefit of the lake model, as well as the improved circulation generated
by the Zheng scheme.
Thank you for your help.
