Trieste Green Tour Malvasia in Porto

*“MALVASIA IN PORTO”*– is a wine tasting evening organized in the alleys 
of Portopiccolo, along with the sound of glasses.

On Friday 29 July in Sistiana (TS) there is 'Malvasia in Porto', a 
Malvasia tasting event presented by more than 20 local winemakers, 
accompanied by finger food and fish tastings offerings.

TASTING OF MALVASIA

*From 18:30 to 22:30*on the splendid terrace overlooking the sea of 
Portopiccolo in Sistiana there will be over 20 winegrowers from Karst, 
Breg and Istria.Each of them will present their version of Malvasia, one 
of the three most important indigenous grape varieties of the area. You 
will thus be able to discover the processing methods and learn about the 
stories of the winemakers’ present.

During the event, you can buy bottles of wine directly from the producers.

THE FISH TO TASTE

Tastings of local fish products in combination with the proposed 
Malvasia will be presented at “Malvasia in porto”. In the square of the 
event there will be two moments of consumer education and demonstration 
show cooking with some chefs.

DIFFUSED MENU

The restaurants in Portopiccolo invite you to try their menus, designed 
specifically for the Malvasia of the Upper Adriatic. Among the many 
options, Gulf fish, local cured meats and Karst cheeses will be on offering.

TICKETS

The ticket is € 25 per person, which includes the possibility of tasting 
all the Malvasias wines and fish tastings.

HOW TO GET TO PORTOPICCOLO

*Arrive by boat*

On the evening of the event, you can reach Sistiana, a fifteen-minute 
walk from PortoPiccolo, with the "Delfino Verde" boat that leaves from 
Molo Bersaglieri, in the center of Trieste.

• Departure from Trieste (Molo Bersaglieri): at 17:30

• Arrival in Sistiana: at 6.50 pm

The cost per person of the ticket is € 6.60

*By Bus:*

It is possible to depart from Trieste and arrive near Portopiccolo 
(Borgo San Mauro) with the following buses and TPL courier, without changes:

• Line G21 departing from Piazza della Libertà at 6.40pm

• Line 44 with departure from Viale Miramare 5 at 18:12, 18:52. 19:32, 20:07

• Line G51 with departure from Piazza Libertà at 18:05, 18:35, 19:05, 
19:35, 20:05, 20:45, 21:30

It is possible to return to Trieste with the following buses and TPL 
courier, without changes:

• Line G51 with departure from Borgo San Mauro at 22:52 and 23:55
