*What does the UN Pact for the future say about science? *

In September 2024, world leaders adopted the Pact for the Future, 
marking a transformative step in reshaping multilateral cooperation and 
strengthening global governance. This ambitious framework emphasizes the 
critical role of science, technology, and innovation in tackling 
challenges like climate change, digital transformation, and sustainable 
development.

To unpack the Pact’s implications for the global scientific community, 
including academies of science, medicine, and engineering, the 
InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) and the International Science Council 
(ISC) invite you to a #webinar exploring the opportunities and 
challenges ahead.

The webinar will bring together experts on the UN system and 
international science policy to discuss the pact, and a platform for 
leaders of scientific organisations to seek clarification on relevant 
topics.
