FRANCE - STRIKES

We would like to inform you that *in France *a series of *strikes *has 
been launched for next few days that will cause *major disruptions to 
transports. *

*Impact and info *

The following areas will be directly impacted:

Ø *Rail*: The *SNCF *workers have announced to go on indefinite strike 
*from 7 pm of Tuesday, 31st May *and for the next days, without, at 
present, an end date. Delays and cancellations are possible on *TGV, 
Intercity, Ter and Transilien *lines.

Ø *Aviation*: The *air traffic controllers *will strike *from 6:00 am of 
3rd June to 6:00 am of June 6th June*, causing *delays and cancellations 
*in the air traffic, especially for short-haul and medium-haul flights. 
Another strike is scheduled for *14th June*.

Ø *Public Transport*: Paris mass *transit workers *will strike the 
*2**nd **June*. The walkout is likely to cause significant disruptions 
across the networks of *RATP including Metro, bus, tram *and *RER *lines 
(to/from Paris Charles de Gaulle included).

Ø *Road traffic*: demonstrations and traffic jams are expected in major 
French cities, especially in Paris.
