*Enhanced security procedures at Italian airports. Longer check times *

The National Civil Aviation Authority ordered the *raising of security 
measures at all Italian airports *and implemented more national security 
activities.

The operations are taking place without particular difficulties, but 
*the waiting time at the check in and security control are longer *in 
consideration of the additional steps required by the stronger security 
measures.

Therefore, passengers departing from Italian airports are advised *to 
get to the airport well ahead of normal required time *(in particular 
for international and intercontinental fights).
