National Italian holiday on Friday, 25th April

Every year 25th April is celebrated as the Liberation Day in Italy. This
day marks the end of Mussolini's regime after the end of the Second World
War in 1945.
Being a public holiday in Italy, there are robust celebrations around the
country to commemorate this day. Large processions are taken out in major
parts of the country. Bands are seen performing on the street and concerts
are also organized throughout the country to celebrate the liberation of
Italy. Political rallies are also held on this day to remember those
killed during the movement. A popular Italian folk song which is
characteristic of this day is Bella Ciao, dedicated to a local farmer who
had died fighting for freedom.

On Friday, ICTP will operate as usual and all of its services will be
working.
The in-house bank, instead, will be closed on Friday.

Downtown, many (most) shops will be closed, however, some supermarkets
will be open and several other stores will probably be open.

Buses will be running as per the festive schedules.
