*Free concert at the Miramare Castle on Sat 15 May at 21:00 *organized 
by the Tartini Music Conservatory: The Hoffmeister Quartet will play 
music by Haydn and Mozart. You should be there at least one hour before 
the concert to get your place as it is on a first-come first-served 
basis and the maximum capacity of the "Throne Room" is 80 seats. See

GUIDED TOURS*

*Free: On the occasion of the "European Night for Museums", the Miramare 
Castle will be open on Sat 15 May all night from 20:00 to 02:00 *with 
free-guided tours until 24:00 and free entrance to the Castle until 
closure time! There will also be a special classical music concert at 
21:00 in the Throne Room, free entrance on a first-come first-served basis.

Free Entrance to the Sartorio Museum on the occasion of the "European 
Night for Museums", on Sat 15 May from 20:00 - 24:00. *There will also 
be a classical music concert combined with a poetry recital at 20:00. 
The Sartorio Museum in Trieste* *is an ancient 18th century Villa built 
by a family of noble Genovese origins. There are guided tours of the 
Villa at 10:30 every Sunday until 13 June. You may visit the Villa's 
beautiful rooms with its antique furniture and learn about the history 
of Trieste through the lives of the Sartorio family members. The museum 
has a number of important art collections such as the Tiepolo Veneziano

"The Evolution of an idea" at the Immaginario Scientifico in 
collaboration with WWF Italy, *(Riva Massimiliano e Carlotta 15, in 
Grignano beneath the Adriatico Guest House). The exhibition presents 
multivision projections on themes related to Darwin's theory of 
evolution from the origins of species to biodiversity, on genetics and 
the mechanisms of reproduction, on natural selection and biodiversity. 
The exhibition is ongoing until 30 May, open only Sundays 10:00 - 20:00.

Forthcoming event: "CANTINE APERTE' ON 29 AND 30 MAY, "OPEN CELLARS 
DAY"* is a major wine event in the Region with 130 wine producers 
opening their cellars to the public. Visitors have the opportunity to 
tour vineyards and explore cellars, taste wines and learn many 
interesting facts about the techniques of wine making. The programme is 
rounded off with art exhibitions, concerts and cultural events and
