*JOIN THE FIRST ICTP DIGITAL PHOTO COMPETITION

Open to Scientists, Visitors, ICTP Staff and Consultants
Deadline 31st August 2009 *

Following many requests from our visitors asking for postcards of 
Trieste, we have decided to organize a digital photo competition. Each 
participant can submit up to three digital photographs in colour. The 
selected photos will be printed as postcards and made available to 
Ictp's visitors on a cost-reimbursement basis.

DEADLINE: 31st August 2009

THEME :  YOUR FAVOURITE SOUVENIR FROM ICTP OR TRIESTE

A jury will select the photos and its decisions will be final.
Ten photos will be selected as postcards and each selected participant 
will receive 50 postcards of her/his photo.

*Requirements in order to take part in the competition: *
-     Each participant may submit a maximum of 3 digital photos in 
colour. They should be taken by the participant herself/himself.
-     Digital photos must be in JPEG or tiff format, suggested 600 dpi 
(minimum) for standard postcard size, maximum resolution of your digital 
camera.
-     If you take pictures of people who are clearly recognizable, their 
permission should be given. Ensure that they ALL sign a Clearance form 
(liberatoria) , otherwise we will not be able to publicize these photos. 
.Clearance forms  are available at the Info Point.
-     Digital photos must be submitted before 31st August 2009 by email 
to:   giancovi at ictp.it
    or  be delivered on CD to the Info Point, Leonardo building (8.30 - 
16.48 hrs).
-     In all cases, clearly specify the following personal details: 
name, surname, address, email, tel., titles of photos, where and when 
they were taken. Include the clearance form if required.
