General transport strike - Friday 17 October 2008

*FRIDAY 17 OCTOBER: GENERAL TRANSPORTATION STRIKE

*This is to inform you that there will most probably be a strike 
affecting most means of public transport on Friday 17 October 2008.

Trains are not expected to be hit badly, and regional commuter trains 
will be guaranteed to run from 6-9 and 18-21.
For more information concerning cancelled /guaranteed trains on those 
days you may call Trenitalia Call Center number: 892021

Air travel could be affected, with both ground staff and flight crew 
threatening strike action.  You are advised to check with your departure 
airport if you are scheduled to fly on Friday.

Trieste city bus service guarantees school and commuter buses from 6-9 
and 13-16. Other services could be affected.

Airport bus 51 *might also not be running* from 16:30 to 20:30.
