Message from Professor K.R. Sreenivasan

To all Residents of ICTP Buildings:

Finally, a fire alarm system has been installed in the Leonardo 
building, and the system in Fermi has been repaired. These developments 
should improve the safety of our work place. The system is being tested 
this week, from Wednesday to Friday, so there may be some minor 
disturbances to the norm.

I should note that there is now a risk that the fire alarm will be 
triggered and the fire doors in the corridors will be closed if there
is smoke in the buildings. So, please do not smoke in the buildings 
under any circumstances, except in the designated places. In Leonardo, 
that place is the smoking room at the back of the coffee bar. In Fermi, 
it is on second floor at the North-East corner.
