A R T  &  E X H I B I T I O N S

Today, 7 April, at 18:00 in the gallery Atelier degli Artisti (viale XX 
Settembre, 43/b) the art exhibition "Paesaggi del Triveneto" 
(Landscapes of the Triveneto Region) opens.  Paintings, sculptures and 
graphics by 32 artists from the north east of Italy will be on show 
until 26 April.
At the "Acquamarina" swimming pool (molo F. Bandiera, 1) there is an 
exhibition of photographs entitled "Sale e saline: ieri e oggi" about 
the history of the salt and the nearby salt marshes of the Adriatic 
which have played an important part in the local economy and culture.  
Free entrance.
Photographic Exhibition in the Museo Sveviano (piazza Hortis 4) 
entitled "Se hai tempo fatti fotografare" (If you have time have your 
photo taken).  A photographic biography of Italo Svevo.  Open until 11 
September 2006 Mon-Sat 10-13 and Sunday 10-12.  Free entrance.
Exhibition in the ballroom of the Revoltella Museum (via Diaz, 27) 
entitled "Preview - Andy Warhol's Timeboxes".  Open until 18 July 2006 
as an introduction to the main exhibition which will open on 21 July in 
the renovated fish market (ex-pescheria) in Trieste.  E-mail

display here are part of the "Campbell's soup" group, dedicated to 
industry in Pittsburgh, Warhol's home town, which was a recurring 
source of inspiration in his work.
Exhibition in Gorizia in the beautiful Palazzo Attems-Petzenstein 
(piazza Edomondo de Amicis 2) until 2 June, entitled "Caleidoscopio 
Missoni", which documents the history of the Missoni family, 
world-famous for their textiles.

C H I L D R E N's  A C T I V I T I E S
L'Immaginario Scientifico
This science museum (located on the ground floor level of the Adriatico 
Hotel, entrance at the rear of the hotel, opposite the 36 bus stop) has 
exhibits which are particularly suitable for children.
A children's laboratory will be held on Sunday from 15.45-16.45 for 
those aged 4-7 and from 15:30-17:00 for 8-11 year olds.  Both groups 
will be making insect catchers this weekend.  You can book by e-mail at

Morbida Geometria
This afternoon, 7 April, from 16-18 in the Casa della Musica in via 
Capitelli 3 there will be an event dedicated to children aged between 4 
and 10 years, organized by AREA Science Park and SISSA.  There will be 
a demonstration of the ancient Chinese geometric game of Tangram and a 
chance for the children to try it for themselves.  For more information

C I N E M A
If you want to see a film in English, the cinema Cinecity at the Torri 
d'Europa shopping centre (bus number 8 from the station) offers one or 
two films per week which you can hear in the original language by means 
of a pair of headphones provided by the cinema upon request.

F A I R S  &  M A R K E T S
Electronics Fair
At the Fiera di Trieste (piazzale De Gasperi 1, bus number 18) there 
will be the Elettronica Expo-Day on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 April from 
9:00-18:30.  There will be stands from all over Italy full of all 
things to do with every aspect of electronics: computers, phones, 
decoders, dvds, hi-fis, videogames etc.  More information on the

M U S I C  &  C O N C E R T S
Concert of Classical Music
On Sunday 9 April at 20:30 there will be a performance of W.A. Mozart's 
"Requiem per soli, coro e orchestra KV 626" by the FVG Symphony 
Orchestra.  Free Entrance.  The same programme will also be performed 
today at the Duomo di Spilimbergo at 20:45 and on Saturday 8 April in 
the Chiesa di S. Ignazio in Gorizia at 20:45.


T O U R S
Trieste by Bus
Every Saturday a bus leaves for a tour of Trieste from in front of the 
train station at 14.00.  It takes in all of the main sights to see 
downtown, and there is also a 30-minute stop at St. Giusto Castle, 
where you can walk along the Castle walls or visit the Cathedral or 
simply enjoy the spectacular views.  Tickets may be bought in the Sala 
Eurostar in the main railway station and cost 5.20 Euro, with children 
under 10 travelling free.

THIS WEEKEND PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL CIVIC MUSEUMS ARE OFFERING FREE 
ENTRANCE TO ALL AS PART OF THE "SETTIMANA DELLA CULTURA" (CULTURE 
WEEK).
