Title: Equivariant CM minimization for extremal manifolds
Abstract: A central problem in complex and algebraic geometry is the construction of moduli spaces parameterizing projective varieties. While the problem is open in full generality, it is suggested that one needs to impose some sort of algebro-geometric or analytic stability condition in order to obtain moduli spaces. The minimization of the degree of the Chow–Mumford (CM) line bundle for families of a certain class of varieties can be seen as a sufficient numerical criterion for separatedness of such moduli spaces. In this talk, we explain the notion of the difference of the CM degree of a pair of families, how it fits into the context of the Yau–Tian–Donaldson conjecture for stability and present a result on equivariant CM minimization for extremal manifolds, generalizing a result by Hattori.
