EU Award for Gender Equality Champions: call for applications is
        now open

This prize awards outstanding achievements reached through the
implementation of Gender Equality Plans (GEP) put in place by
universities, higher education institutions, and other research
performing organisations (public or private), established in an EU
Member State or a Third Country associated to Horizon Europe.

Ekaterina *Zaharieva*, European Commissioner for Startups, Research, and
Innovation said:

/“Fewer women in science benefits nobody. It means that we miss out
on half of humanity to advance scientific discovery. Through the
Gender Equality Plans and the Gender Equality Champions - we remain
committed to delivering a truly inclusive research community in
    Europe.”/

A first-ever inside look at how the human body manages proteins

Research by the EU-funded Nedd8Activate project offers a window into how
the body clears away unwanted proteins. This knowledge could help treat
protein dysregulation, and pave the way for drugs that flag
disease-causing proteins for elimination.
