Title: Grid Homology

Abstract: In this talk we will explore grid homology, providing a step-by-step introduction and highlighting its connection with Heegaard Floer homology.
First, we begin by introducing grid diagrams, a combinatorial tool that represents 3-manifolds, particularly knots and links, in a two-dimensional grid format. These diagrams capture essential topological information and form the basis of grid homology.
Next, we will justify why grid homology can be seen as a combinatorial reformulation of Heegaard Floer homology, providing an accessible bridge to the deeper, more intricate world of Heegaard Floer homology.
Finally, we will illustrate a few examples.
