Title: Doubly pointed Heegaard diagams and a "naive" definition of Heegaard Floer Homology.

Abstract: The first part of the talk will be about representing Spin^c structures on closed oriented 3-manifolds via Heegaard states in Heegaard diagrams. There will be explicit examples, as well as a discussion on how to represent knot embeddings in 3-manifolds with (doubly pointed) Heegaard diagrams. We will then discuss a "naive" definition of Heegaard Floer homology, which will allow us to understand the main issues and technical requirements one has to make in the definition of such invariant.
