        AI in Science: feedback to the consultations on the future
        Strategy shows strong interest from public and scientific community

The European Commission’s public consultations on the future European 
Strategy for Artificial Intelligence in Science received 734 responses 
from 43 countries.
The Call for Evidence received 166 responses across the EU and beyond, 
over the span of eight weeks. This includes input from academic and 
research institutions, companies, public authorities, non-governmental 
organisations and more. In addition, 568 respondents from the scientific 
community answered a targeted questionnaire aimed at gathering their 
specialist input.

*Ekaterina Zaharieva*, Commissioner for Startups, Research and 
Innovation said:

    /“Our goal is to make sure AI supports scientists and inspires
    innovators. With input from across Europe and beyond, we can now get
    to work on developing our AI in Science Strategy – and take a step

        The Serbian lab using scorpion venom to fight cancer

The EU-funded NANOFACTS project helped transform Serbia’s BioSense 
Institute (BIOS) from a leader in agricultural sensing to a powerhouse

        Consultation for the Reform of the Research Fund for Coal and
        Steel (RFCS)

This event will gather and address both the steel and coal communities 
to discuss key questions for the reform of the Research Fund for Coal 
and Steel, which was announced in the Steel and Metals Action Plan
