        Changes to the 2026 & 2027 Work Programmes

The ERC Scientific Council has decided to introduce several changes to 
the structure of grant proposals, the evaluation process and other 
elements. The first grant competitions under the new rules will open in 
July 2025.

        ERC grantee wins the Shaw Prize

Professor Wolfgang Baumeister of the Max Planck Institute of 
Biochemistry has been awarded the Prize in Life Science and Medicine.
