Gravitational Wave Open Data Workshop 2025

Dear all,

We are excited to announce the next Gravitational Wave Open Data 
Workshop, which is the 8th in a series of workshops that began in 2018. 
Participants will receive a *crash-course in gravitational wave data 
analysis*. The workshop includes lectures by data analysis experts, 
hands on experience with software tutorials, and a data challenge 
designed to test your new skill in GW data analysis.

The workshop consists in *online lectures *and *in person hands-on 
sessions*:

  * The *lectures* will be held online. The lecture schedule can be
    found in this page: https://learn.gwosc.org/courses/odw2025, where
    you can register. You can also monitor the YouTube channel
    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8kOaTeQhqv7eKhP8Ynu--A where the
    lectures will be live streamed. You can choose to watch the lectures
    live or watch the recording afterwards. In our time zone, the
    lectures will be held at 18:00 on May 12, 13 and 14.
  * The *hands-on sessions *are organised in person in various Study
    Hubs spread around the world. We will host one of the Study Hubs in
    *Trieste*. We will meet*in person *to run together the tutorials in
    python and practice what you learned during the lectures (or ask
    questions about the lectures). We will meet the day after each
    lecture session, so that you all will have the time to watch the
    lecture recording before coming to the Study Hub. The meeting days
    are *May 13, 14, 15, 2025 (14:00 - 16:00 each day)* at the *Physics
    Department of the University of Trieste*. Register to this link if
