On Monday, 23 September at 11:00 in room 136 (SISSA) Saverio Andrea Secci (Milano Statale) will give the seminar

"K-polystability of Fano 4-folds with Lefschetz defect 3"

Abstract: After an introduction to K-stability of Fano varieties and the motivation behind it, I will present the Lefschetz defect, that is an invariant associated to Fano varieties. I will then recall some classification results of smooth Fano varieties with large Lefschetz defect, and finally discuss K-(poly)stability in the case of Lefschetz defect 3.
