__Abstract:

Two-dimensional semiconductor materials have garnered significant 
attention due to their exceptional electronic, optical, and mechanical 
properties. Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C_3 N_4 ) is emerging as a 
next-generation 2D material, distinguished by its unique structural and 
functional properties. Composed of carbon and nitrogen atoms arranged in 
a hexagonal lattice, g-C_3 N_4 exhibits remarkable thermal stability, 
chemical inertness, and a tunable bandgap, making it versatile for 
various applications. g-C_3 N_4 shows great potential for various 
high-temperature applications but its practical application as a heat 
transfer fluid is still in the research stage. The photothermal 
technique has gained widespread recognition for its remarkable 
sensitivity and high signal-to-noise ratio, positioning it as an 
effective tool for determining the thermal diffusivity of nanofluids. 
The thermal diffusivity of g-C_3 N_4 nanofluid is studied using the 
thermal lens technique.
