Invitation to the MHPC DAY 2024 on Friday 1 March at 14:30 in Budinich Lecture Hall

Dear all,

The Master's Programme in High Performance Computing is pleased to 
invite you to the MHPC DAY 2024, to celebrate the first 10 years of the 
master's programme and create an opportunity for a moment of sharing.
The event will take place on Friday, March 1, starting at 14:30 in the 
Leonardo Building, Budinich Lecture Hall.

After institutional greetings from the Directors of SISSA and ICTP - the 
two institutions that enabled the realization of MHPC - and from Dr. 
Ketty Segatti representing the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the 
afternoon will be dedicated to MHPC success stories, both from students 
and partners.

We are also pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Thomas C. Schulthess, 
director of the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre and professor at 
ETH Zürich, will hold a Lectio Magistralis on this occasion.

The event will conclude with a panel entitled "Training next generations 
of HPC experts" and an aperitif to celebrate together.
