Dear all,

we, together with  Data Science and Math  groups at SISSA, as well as a
group from Torino are organising the reading club on Geometrical Deep
Learning.

The monographic course on Geometric deep learning will start with a
lecture on neural networks on *Thursday, May 18th at 2pm, at SISSA*,
room and zoom details TBC.

We are expecting this to be an exciting point of contact between machine
learners, mathematicians, and physicists. The first four lectures are
therefore intended to bring everybody up to speed, with an introduction
to the following topics:

- May 18th: Intro to NN (Sebastian Goldt)

- May 25th: Fibre bundles (Ugo Bruzzo)

- June 1st: no lecture - Youth in high dimensions conference in Trieste

- June 8th:  Graph-based algorithms (Viplove Arora)

- June 15nd: Homogeneous spaces (Pietro Fré)

- June 22nd: first chapter(s) of Bronstein et al.

After the introductory four lectures, we will follow the book draft by
Michael Bronstein, Joan Bruna et al ( https://arxiv.org/abs/2104.13478 )
and take turns presenting and discussing its contents. If you want to
receive a mark for this course, you will have to lead one of the
sessions by presenting a chapter or two. Please contact me if you need
further information.

All lectures will be recorded so that you can watch those missed live.
There should be a switch between lectures at SISSA and ICTP, yet to be
decided.

*Please feel free to share this announcement widely, everybody is welcome.*

If you are interested, please send a mail to (jean.barbier.cs at gmail.com)
so you are added to the mailing list.

Best,

Dasha
