Seminar on Chow groups

This is an announcement for our last lecture in the ICTP reading 
seminar, covering Chow groups for some classical examples of hyperkähler 
manifolds.

The last speaker is Alina Marian, and it will take place on Thursday, 
December 14, from 15:00 to 16:30 in the LB Lab at ICTP.

Topics: the existence of the special Beauville-Voisin zero-cycle on 
hyperkahler varieties of higher dimension, the Beauville-Voisin ring in 
higher dimension. Natural filtrations on Chow groups of hyperkahler 
varieties; the expected multiplicative decomposition of the Chow ring. 
This decomposition mirrors the one for abelian varieties discussed in 
the preceding lecture. The talk will draw mostly on work of O'Grady, 
Shen-Yin-Zhao, Marian-Zhao, Negut-Oberdieck-Yin.

We extend a special invitation to PhD students and postdocs who are 
interested in the topic.
