This is an announcement for our fourth lecture in the ICTP reading 
seminar on Chow groups for some classical examples of hyperkähler 
manifolds. We are covering the main findings discussed in the following 
notable works:

de Chow d'une Variété Abélienne" (Beauville, 1986) - By Shubham Sinha *

*Topics: *the multiplicative decomposition of the Chow ring of an 
abelian variety, the Lefschetz sl(2) action on the Chow groups of an 
abelian variety (following Mukai and Beauville).*

Thursday, December 14, 15 - 16:30, in the LB Lab at ICTP: "Motivic 
Decompositions for the Hilbert Scheme of Points on a K3 Surface" (Neguţ, 
Oberdieck, Yin, 2021) - By Alina Marian

Topics: the existence of the special Beauville-Voisin zero-cycle on 
hyperkahler varieties of higher dimension, the Beauville-Voisin ring in 
higher dimension. Natural filtrations on Chow groups of hyperkahler 
varieties; the expected multiplicative decomposition of the Chow ring. 
This decomposition mirrors the one for abelian varieties discussed in 
the preceding lecture.

The talk will draw mostly on work of O'Grady, Shen-Yin-Zhao, 
Marian-Zhao, Negut-Oberdieck-Yin.

The last 2 lectures will take place from 15:00 to 16:30 in the Leonardo 
Da Vinci-InfoLab (ICTP).

We extend a special invitation to PhD students and postdocs who are 
interested in the topic.
