Title: Soap films and capillarity


Abstract: We introduce a length scale in the classical modeling of soap 
films as minimal surfaces by recovering Plateau’s problem as a singular 
limit of capillarity problems. The analysis of this approximation leads 
to some insights on soap films that are not accessible when working with 
minimal surfaces.
This talk is based on joint works with Darren King (UT Austin), 
Antonello Scardicchio (ICTP) and Salvatore Stuvard (UT Austin).
